Corner is for everyday talk between athletes and their fans, like texting a friend. These rules keep it safe and friendly for everyone, fans and athletes alike.
For everyone
- Be kind. Athletes read every reply.
- No hate, bullying or threats, against anyone.
- No betting or alcohol promotion and no adult content. Fans can be as young as 13.
- No spam, scams or advertising.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
For fans
Your replies go only to the athlete. Other fans never see them, unless the athlete answers one in front of everyone: then every fan reads it, quoted, without your name.
- Keep your own details out of replies: no phone numbers, addresses or other apps to reach you on.
- If you let Corner translate your replies, write in your own language: the athlete reads them translated into theirs. If you don't, the athlete reads them as you wrote them.
For athletes
Everything posted in your name must be written or approved by you. The Corner team can draft messages for you, but they go out only once you approve them.
- No private messages: athletes never message one fan, and never name a fan in the chat.
- No live locations, home addresses or family details.
- Keep it everyday: training, breakfast, films, life. Corner isn't a channel for announcements.
Reporting, and what happens next
- Report anything that breaks these rules. Reports go to the Corner team.
- Reports are private: the person you report is never told who sent it.
- Corner's filter holds some replies for the Corner team to check before the athlete sees them, and holds more for fans under 18.
- Athletes can hide a reply, or block a fan from replying to their chat.
- The Corner team can remove a message, warn an account or ban it, and a banned account can't sign in. [For the lawyer: whether people can appeal a warning or a ban, and how.]
